Sarfo Castro has signed a new deal to remain Head Coach of Real Tamale United (RTU), the club has confirmed.
This big step comes as the Pride of the North looks to build stability ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 Division One League season.
Castro, an experienced tactician, who took charge in July last year, has been rewarded with a contract extension following a period of steady improvement in the team’s performances.
“Coach Sarfo Castro extends his stay with Real Tamale United until 2026. A leader committed to our mission,” RTU said in an official statement.
RTU struggled for form early in the previous campaign but showed signs of resurgence under Castro’s guidance, topping Zone A with 18 wins, 6 losses and 4 draws from 28 games.
RTU’s promotion hopes were dashed following a 2-1 defeat to Eleven Wonders in the Division One League Zone I playoff.
Castro’s renewed mandate signals RTU’s intent to foster a more competitive and disciplined outfit ahead of the 2025/26 season.
