Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey is set to miss the Black Stars' friendlies against United States of America and Mexico slated for this month after picking a fresh injury.
Lamptey, was named among the Ghana's 23-man squad announced last week by Chris Hughton for the two friendlies.
The 23-year-old returned from the treatment room prior to the start of the 2023/24 season after being sidelined for over two months.
He was expected to feature in Brighton's game against Liverpool this weekend but was excluded from the match-day squad by Roberto De Zerbi.
Explaining the decision in a pre-match interview, Roberto De Zerbi disclosed that the defender had to be excluded from his squad because he had picked a knock.
Lamptey is expected to undergo a medical examination on Monday, October 8, to ascertain the extent of the injury.
