Following a recent court ruling mandating Ghanaian football icon Asamoah Gyan to pay GHC 1 million in damages to journalist Anthony Sarfo, Gyan has expressed strong dissatisfaction and revealed his intention to appeal the judgment.

In an interview with GHOne TV, Gyan voiced his discontent, stating, "It doesn't make sense." He highlighted perceived flaws in the legal proceedings, alleging that the judge failed to consider their evidence.

Gyan firmly stated, "I will appeal because there is no way I should lose that case," suggesting a belief in a potential conspiracy.

"There is a conspiracy somewhere. I will follow up this time. That judgment was very awful," he emphasized.

The legal saga traces back to 2015 when journalist Anthony Sarfo faced charges of extortion, ultimately being acquitted and discharged in 2019. Subsequently, he filed a GHC 1 million lawsuit against Gyan, seeking redress for the ordeal.
