The draw for the third edition of the Ashanti Region Inter Tribal Football Gala will be held on Saturday, June 8, at the Islamic Education Unit in Kumasi.
The 24 tribes will soon learn their group stage opposition so they start preparing themselves adequately for it.
This year’s edition will see an increase of partaking tribes from 20 to 24.
Six tribes will be seeded this year in the draw with the basis for that mainly been about previous performances in the first two editions
Teams will be drawn into four groups of six; Group A , Group B, Group C , Group D ad Group E.
Organizers will take advantage of the event to explain how match fixtures will be drawn for the tournament, which promises to be keenly contested at the usual venue of Aboabo no2 Middle B Park.
Representatives of the various tribes are expected to present at venue.
Moshie will be hoping to defend their title after beating Songhai to win the second edition of the competition.
The first edition saw Hausa beat Wangara 4:3 in penalty shootouts in the Grand Finale to win the maiden edition of the competition.
The tournament is expected to start on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
