Black Galaxies head coach Kassim Mingle Ocansey has dismissed suggestions that his team is under pressure ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, insisting the match is primarily about growth and development.
According to the Ghanaian tactician, the encounter presents a valuable opportunity to assess his squad and continue the rebuilding process, rather than a must-win situation.
“This game is an opportunity for the Black Galaxies to prove that they are a very good side. I’m happy to have this friendly, but my team is not under any pressure. We believe in building, and that is exactly what I am doing,” Ocansey said, as quoted by ghanafa.org.
Ghana’s Black Galaxies will take on Bafana Bafana at the Dobsonville Stadium on Tuesday, with kick-off scheduled for 2:00 pm (Ghana time).
For South Africa, the fixture forms part of their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which is set to kick off in Morocco on Sunday, December 21.
Ghana, however, will not be part of the tournament, having failed to secure qualification for the upcoming AFCON.
