Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation Sam George has dedicated Arsenal’s 2025/26 Premier League title win to former Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah.

A known supporter of the English club, Sam George paid tribute on social media following Arsenal’s title triumph, which was confirmed after rivals Manchester City dropped points against AFC Bournemouth.

The result handed Arsenal their first English league title in 22 years, sealing a memorable season for the North London side.

In his post on X (formerly Twitter), he remembered the late Omane Boamah, who died in a helicopter crash last year.

“We are CHAMPIONS of England! Come on you Gunners! Dear Omane Boamah. This is for you! I know you are smiling where you are. Keep Resting In Power, Bro,” he wrote.

Arsenal’s title success comes ahead of their UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 30, where they will chase a first European title.
