Tottenham Hotspur young attacker Persis Martha Oteng has joined the Black Princesses camp after earning her first-ever call-up to play for the West African nation since her nationality switch.
The 17-year-old, who was born to Ghanaian parents in Germany and raised in England, finalized her international allegiance to represent Ghana at all levels despite being eligible to featured for either German or England.
Black Princesses coach Yussif Basigi handed her a maiden invitation for the two-legged fixture of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup qualifiers against Eswatini.
Martha Oteng missed the first leg tie when the Ghanaian side recorded a 6-1 emphatic win over Eswatini due to flight issue. She has now joined her teammates in camp for the reverse leg fixture scheduled for Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The teenager has been a regular starter for the Tottenham U21 sideand has displayed impressive form for the team this season, having scored three goals. She has been associated with the North London club for several years, including a loan spell.
Persis Martha Oteng spent last season on loan at London Seaward Football Club before returning to Tottenham in the summer for the 2022/23 campaign.
