Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo has re-handed call up to Hearts of Oak youngster, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh ahead of the Kirin Cup tournament which will be held in Japan this month
The 20 year old was initially included into the 33 man squad for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers and formed part of the only two home-based players but was later excluded from the trip to Angola for Central African Republic game.
The reports coming in this morning indicate, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been recalled to join the senior national team, making him the second Hearts of Oak player in the Black Stars camp at the moment alongside left back Dennis Korsah.
Barnieh, together with his former Black Satellites teammate, Danlad Ibrahim are expected to leave the shores of Ghana very soon to join the rest of the team in Japan for the invitational championship.
German-based Christopher Antwi Adjei is also expected to join as replacement for Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo.
Ghana picked four points from their opening two matches in the ongoing AFCON qualifiers, having beaten Madagascar at home and drew their second game over the weekend.
The 2022 Kirin Cup tournament is scheduled for June 10 to June 14, 2022.
