The recently appointed coach for Ghana, Chris Hughton, expressed disappointment over his team's loss to Uruguay during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

After losing to Portugal in their first game, the Black Stars managed a hard-earned victory against South Korea.

However, they needed at least a draw in their final Group H match to advance to the last 16 of the competition. Unfortunately, they suffered a 2-0 loss to Uruguay, a two-time world champion.

Hughton, who was unveiled in Kumasi earlier today, admitted that the defeat was painful and the biggest disappointment for him.

"I must say it was a painful one," he said.

"The defeat against Uuruguay was the biggest disappointment," he added.
