The Egyptian giants condemned Medeama SC to a heavy defeat in their first-ever appearance in the CAF Champions League group stage at the Al Salam Stadium.
Debutants, Medeama SC managed to hold the 11-time champions of the competition to a score-less draw before a second half performance of Al Ahly saw them conceding three goals in 24 minutes.
Goals from Mahound Kahraba, Hussein El Shahat and Salah Mohsen handed Al Ahly a 3-0 emphatic win over Medeama SC in their Group D opener.
