Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly have expressed keen interest in securing the signature of Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah following his explosive performance at Medeama SC.
Officials of Al Ahly have reportedly inquired about the availability of the 23-year-old after the opening games of the 2023/24 CAF Champions League group stage over the weekend.
Sowah led the attack of Medeama SC in their 3-0 loss to the 11-time CAF Champions League title holders at the Al Salam Stadium.
His scintillating performance in the fixture has attracted him interest from Al Ahly and the club is expected to table a mouthwatering offer to Medeama SC for his possible acquisition.
Sowah, who switch from Beach Soccer to Football, had a breakthrough season at the Yellow and Mauves lads last term by scoring twelve goals in 18 matches.
The prolific attacker's output in the second round of the 2022/23 season was instrumental for Medeama and endured them their first-ever Ghana Premier League title.
His sterling performance at Medeama SC caught the attention of Black Stars coach Chris Hughton to make him a regular figure in the recent call-ups of the senior national team of Ghana.
He has already made two appearances for the Black Stars of Ghana.
