Viktoria Plzen forward Prince Kwabena Adu made his Black Stars debut in Friday’s high-profile friendly against Japan.

The 22-year-old attacker was introduced in the 56th minute, replacing captain Antoine Semenyo, and quickly demonstrated the qualities that have earned him attention in the Czech top flight.

Adu impressed with his composure on the ball and ability to link play in the final third as Ghana searched for a breakthrough.

His inclusion in coach Otto Addo’s squad for the Kirin Cup reflects the technical team’s aim to broaden the attacking options ahead of next year’s major tournaments.

For Adu, the debut represents a personal milestone and an opportunity to stake a claim for a more permanent role in the national team setup.

With Ghana scheduled to face South Korea on November 18, the youngster is expected to receive further opportunities to integrate fully into the squad as the Black Stars build toward next year’s FIFA World Cup.
