Black Queens head coach, Kim Lars Bjorkegren and his girls missed out on the ultimate but will go all out to secure the third spot ahead of their game against South African this evening 

The Black Queens painfully lost 4-2 via penalty shootouts after a pulsating 1-1 draw in the semi final in a game Kim has already stated they were unlucky as he believes they were better side throughout the game 

The Bayana Bayana also had a stellar run in their quest to defending their title but unfortunately suffered a painful 2-1 loss to Nigeria in the last four to drop to the third-place playoff 

Speaking ahead of the game, the Swedish gaffer said they will have to win to climax the competition on a higher note and also serve as huge preparations towards the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers 

“The journey to qualify for the World Cup in Brazil starts now, and finishing strongly is a pivotal statement,” Kim Lars Bjorkegren

“If you consistently place in the top four, you will eventually win the tournament,” he said.

The game is slated for 19:00GMT (7:00pm) at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium
