Black Starlets deputy captain Ernest Ofori says Ghana are fully prepared for their WAFU B U-17 Championship clash with hosts Ivory Coast.
Ghana began their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Togo, while Ivory Coast defeated Niger 2-0 to go top of Group A.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference on Monday, Ofori stressed the importance of discipline as his side look for their first win of the tournament.
“We’re fully prepared for Ivory Coast,” he said.
“We know what is at stake, and we’ve worked hard in training to put ourselves in a good position to win. All we will need to do is to be tactically disciplined, and the job against Ivory Coast will be easier.”
A victory for Prosper Narteh Ogum’s team would move Ghana above the Ivorians before their final group fixture against Niger on Friday, 26 September. Kick-off is at 18:00 GMT.
