Black Galaxies captain, Gladson Awako has stated they are very ashamed and will take responsibility for their appaling display in the ongoing 2022 African Nations Championship of which they got eliminated over the weekend.
The team suffered a very painful and disappointing 2-0 loss to Niger in the quarter final last Saturday night after they had finished second in Group B with six points to cruise into the knockout phase.

Reacting to the exit, the ex- T.P Mazembe star has admitted their performance wasn't the best but will to improve and perform better going forward. He posted on his official Twitter handle;
"Not the tournament we were looking forward to having as we’re ashamed and heartbroken for our early exit. We take the blame looking forward to restoring the smiles and hopes bequeathed us someday."
