Communication Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has stated that the club have rightfully registered former WAFA captain Konadu Yiadom and would play for the Phobians in the 2022/23 football season.
“Hearts of Oak have successfully registered Yiadom after fulfilling all the registration requirements on the FIFA Transfer Matching System,” he affirmed, insisting that the player is a bonafide player of the club “who has been registered to play for Hearts for the next three years,” Opare Addo told the Ghanaian Times.
“It's not true that we weren't able to register him (Konadu Yiadom) because we failed to fully honour our side of the agreement with the player’s manager Joe Abu Salaam. We have a very good and healthy relationship with the player’s manager and have had dealings with him in the past which we have never reneged on; so it’s shocking to me at the new turn of events now."
Opare Addo was reacting to ubiquitous media reports, suggesting that the MTN FA Cup champions failed to register the highly-rated centre-back before the transfer deadline on Monday dawn.
According to the Communications Director of the Rainbow lads, management has invited Joe Abu Salaam for a crunch meeting to settle their differences, and promised the Phobian fanatics to stay calm as to have a peaceable settlement to the issue.
“Let no Phobian panic; we have got Yiadom in our fold and they would see him play for the club in the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League season for sure.”
