Head coach of Black Stars, Otto Addo has disclosed that he would only love to work with dedicated players and those that will challenge him as he believes those personalities will help make the team much better.
The German-Ghanaian tactician currently finds himself in a very busy situation tracking lots of Ghanaian footballers in Europe and beyond looking to assemble the best of squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Ghana is housed in Group L together with 1966 champions England, 2018 finalists Croatia and Panama.
The four-time African champions have been very abysmal in their last two appearances at the Mundial and have suffered group stage evictions in all, and are very determined this time to exceed the first round and probably their best run of reaching the quarter-final stage in 2010.
In a recent interview, the ex- Borussia Dortmund trainer spoke with so much seriousness and has indirectly tasked all players that will be invited to the Black Stars from henceforth to show determination when given the opportunity.
“I like players who will challenge me, who are going to question me or who are angry when they lose, because I know these are the players we need to win games.”
The Black Stars will regroup next month to take on Austria and Germany in the March international window. They will play Mexico also in April, all in pre- World Cup friendlies.
