Minister of Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams is obviously not impressed with the Black Stars’ previous meetings with Comoros and expects a huge margin win to stage a perfect revenge when both teams meet in the upcoming October 2025 international window.
The Coelacanths have been a torn in the flesh to Ghana’s senior men national team in recent years having emerged victorious in the last two matches.
Ghana’s most embarrassing AFCON campaign ever came in the 2021 edition where they earned just a point to exit the competition in the first round and one of the most painful loses was a 3-2 defeat to Comoros in the final group game.
In November 2023, both countries met again in match-day 2 of the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers where Ghana once again fell short with a 1-0 loss.
With the second leg encounter fast approaching, Ghana’s Sports Minister Hon. Kofi Adams has urged and tasked the Black Stars to approach the game with so much determination and win handsomely, not to only secure qualification but to stage a perfect redemption against the East African country.
“Every Ghanaian want the Black Stars to payback Comoros by beating them convincingly in matchday ten, which is our final qualifying game against Comoros."
Coach Otto Addo has already announced his squad for the game and will start arriving this weekend in Morocco to begin preparations towards their remaining two games of the qualifiers.
The Black Stars will play Central African Republic on Wednesday October 8 in Meknes, before they return to the country to host Comoros on Sunday October 12, 2025.
