French-based defender, Gideon Mensah is calling on Ghanaians for their support ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar few weeks from now.
The 26-year-old is enjoying a great season at French topflight side AJ Auxurre where he's made 20 league appearances so far and is very hopeful of making the next Black Stars squad.
The senior men national team will be regrouping very soon and will be the first since their embarrassing 2025 AFCON qualifiers last year and are hoping to redeem themselves this time around.
Speaking in a recent video, the ex- WAFA defender admitted they haven't been to their level in their previous games which is why they will need Ghanaians behind them with their massive support to win their next games
"Thank you for your support over the years to the Black Stars," Mensah said. "We've had great results in our previous games, but we will like to urge everyone to continue supporting us and be a pillar behind us in our upcoming qualifying games."
The Black Stars will face Chad on March 21 in Accra, while they travel to face Madagascar next in three days time.
