Black Stars captain, Jordan Ayew has spoken ahead of the Unity Cup and has assured they will give Ghanaians joy in the upcoming tournament 

The last time the senior men national team regrouped was in March where they won over Chad and Madagascar to cruise to the top of Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after round six

The competition also known as the 'The Best in the West' comprises of other countries like West African neighbours Nigeria, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago and will be held later this month 

Coach Otto Addo is expected to announce his squad very soon and will comprise of lots of new guys since some of the regular players might not come and will be with their clubs by then 

Speaking ahead of the tournament, the Leicester City man says they are ever ready for the competition and are very determined to make Ghanaians proud 

“We’re looking forward to an intense battle on the pitch and making our country proud," Ayew said, as quoted by the official tournament social media account.

Ghana will lock horns with Nigeria in their first game of the competition on May 28, 2025
