Head coach of Tamale City FC, Hamza Mohammed has stated with so much optimism that, they will beat Nsoatreman FC today to secure qualification into next season's Ghana Premier League.
This tie should have been decided on the final day of zone one just like others but couldn't, with the top two teams tying up on same points, goals and head to head thereby leading to this playoff.
The 'Nobiscum Deus' outfit ended the season with 71 points after, having recorded 22 wins, five draws and three loses in 31 matches.
In an interview on Happy FM in Accra, the young tactician has admitted playing in the first division isn't easy hence they will play their hearts out to secure qualification by the close of today;
"We are determined to qualify to the Ghana Premier League. We have been very consistent in the past five seasons and if not for the Anas video we should be playing the league by now."
"We hope to get a good day against Nsoatreman and I believe my players will deliver. We didn’t come from Tamale to Accra to lose out, we want to qualify to the Premier League."
"It’s not easy playing in the Zone One, having teams like Berekum Arsenals, Brong Ahafo United, Bofoakwa, and for Tamale City to come on top of this team, it should tell you that we are prepared. If not for the playoff we would have qualified by now because we were on top of the league."
The game is scheduled for 1500GMT this mid-afternoon at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.
