Head coach of Medeama SC, Augustine Evans Adotey has revealed his target in the Champions League and is very optimistic they won't lose to Al Ahly this weekend.

The Mauves and Yellows will for the first time, play in the CAF Champions League money zone as they prepare for a cracker against the competition's grand masters this weekend.

The Ghanaian champions left the shores of the country earlier this morning to Egypt as they hope for quick adaptation to make them ever ready for the epic clash coming up.

Speaking ahead of the game, the ex- Black Maidens gaffer says they are very much prepared for the Reds and added their target is to at least make the last eight in the competition. He told Akoma FM in Kumasi;

"We must make sure we advance to the Quarterfinals because this is a league competition rather than a knockout round.

"Going into the Al Ahly match, I want to keep a clean sheet, attack and defend, and make sure I don't lose.

"I'm confident that we won't lose in Egypt, and I'm preparing my boys well to ensure that we return home with positive results.

"I firmly believe that we will play in the quarterfinals following the group stages and nothing can threaten my confidence."

The game is slated for Saturday, November 25, at the Al Salam Stadium.
