Head coach of the Ghana U-17 men national team, Laryea Kingston has acknowledged all countries partaking in the upcoming WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship but also assured that, he is ever ready as well as his boys heading into the competition.
The draw of the much-anticipated competition was held earlier this morning at the headquarters of WAFU Zone B in Cote D'Ivoire with some interesting pairings coming up.
Ghana, the host nation, are in Group A alongside Cote D'Ivoire and Benin, with top two after the first round expected to advance to the knockout round.
Also in Group B, are reigning champions Nigeria, runners up Burkina Faso, Togo and Niger.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, Laryea Kingston, the ex- Black Stars winger has expressed readiness and added their.focus is nothing but to achieve the host and win.
"We respect every country that will be playing at the tournament. Each participant is a potential winner. So, we respect everyone. But we’re ready."
"The technical team and the players are all ready for the tournament. And we’ll take it a match at a time," he reiterated, highlighting the team's focused approach to each game.
The competition will commence on May 15, and will run to May 28, with all matches to be hosted at the Accra Sports Stadium.
