Ghana legend, Anthony has heaped praises on the senior women national team- Black Queens following their stupendous display against Zambia in the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers.
Ghana couldn't make it to the final qualifying round despite holding the Copper Queens to a pulsating 3-3 in Ndola last Wednesday following the narrow defeat they suffered in the first leg in Accra almost a week ago.
Gifty Assifuah, Doris Boaduwaa and Azumah Bugre were all on target for the Queens whiles Zambia also got a brace from their skipper Barbara Banda, coupled with another from Kabange Mupopo.
In a post made on X, Anthony Baffoe, former Black Stars player, was really satisfied with the performance of the Black Queens and is very optimistic they team will improve going forward.
"Dear Black Queens....I Salute you and we are proud of you...You never gave up. Keep going and growing together."
The Black Queens are expected to return to their various clubs very soon to finish the remainder of the 2023/24 football season and will resume later to prepare for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations which will be held in Morocco.
