The Black Satellites will lock horns with defending champions Senegal at the New Suez Stadium this evening in their second group game of the ongoing TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations
Both countries failed to pick maximum points in their opening matches and will head in stronger this time for nothing but all three points to brighten their qualification chances
The Black Satellites nipped on Aziz Musibau's goal to salvage a pulsating 1-1 draw against DR Congo in their opening game, while the reigning champions also surprisingly failed to score in a thrilling goalless draw against Central African Republic
Coach Desmond Ofei stated he's picked clues and other ideas from their first game which he believes will really help them heading into their subsequent games and added they will still fight for qualification
He further stated they can only grind all three points today if they make good use of chances that will come their way
"Against DRC, we created numerous chances but could not convert them," he said ahead of the game.
"We need to be more clinical in today's game, and that should ensure that we get the desired result to boost our chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals," he added.
The game is slated for 18:00GMT (6:00pm) today
