The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have appointed the match officials for Ghana's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sudan, scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.
Patrice Milazar of Mauritius has been assigned the responsibility of officiating the challenging AFCON 2025 fixture.
The 38-year-old will be assisted by Souru Phatsoane from Lesotho as Assistant I, Jean Marc Jeff Pithia from Mauritius as Assistant II, and Ganesh Choutoree, also from Mauritius, serving as the fourth official.
Sekou Wieh Konneh from Liberia will serve as the Match Commissioner. Additional match officials include Bechir Hassani from Tunisia as the Referee Assessor and Okey Silvanus Obi from Nigeria, who will act as the Security Officer.
Black Stars involved in must-win encounter
The Black Stars sit third on the Group F table having yet to record a win after two games played. The Otto Addo- led team began the campaign with a 1-0 home loss to Angola and drew 1-1 with Niger days later to accumlate one point.
The upcoming match against Sudan, managed by former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah and featuring a backroom staff of Ghanaians, is anticipated to be both tight and tense.
The encounter is expected to prioritize intensity over quality. The stakes are incredibly high for the Black Stars, who risk missing out on next year's tournament if they suffer a defeat to Sudan.
