Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, Mr. Wilson Arthur has revealed the cash price that will be given to the winner of the competition including the breakdown heading into the final this weekend.
Nsoatreman FC and Bofoakwa Tano FC will battle it out against each other for the coveted trophy this Sunday after an impressive run from both sides en route to the final.
The winner of the league cup will have the opportunity to represent the country in the CAF Confederations Cup in the 2024/25 football season.
Speaking ahead of the final, Wilson Arthur confirmed the winner will take home Ghc80,000 upfront including another Ghc100,000 package to support their Africa campaign- and thus a total of Ghc180,000. He told Akoma FM in Kumasi;
"The winner of this year's FA Cup will earn Gh 80000, plus an additional Gh 100000, to help them prepare for the Caf Confederation Cup."
"We are still in talks with the FA and the government to get greater funding for the club so it can perform so well in Africa."
The final is slated for Sunday, June 23, at the University of Ghana Stadium at 18:00GMT.
