
Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister-designate for Sports and Recreation has vowed to re-interpret the role of the National Sports Authority (NSA) to guarantee its functionality as an intermediary between the Ministry and various sports federations.
Speaking during his vetting before the Appointments Committee on Thursday, January 30, Mr Adams highlighted the NSA's current limitations, going ahead to emphasised his commitment in ensuring it runs effectively.
“The challenge we have is the NSA which is the bridge, sometimes it’s not allowed to interface and deal with the GFA (Ghana Football Association), especially when it comes to Black Stars funding. We intend to make sure to restructure such that NSA plays the role it is supposed to play.”
Mr Adams has been subject to approval from the Appointments Committee for him to start work officially as Minister for Sports and Recreation.
