
Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Dr. Randy Abbey says he believes strongly that newly appointed Minister Designate for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, will succeed.
President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, submitted a third list of ministerial and regional ministerial nominees to Parliament for prior approval, continuing the formation of his government.
The names, delivered through the Speaker of Parliament include Adams, who is expected to serve as Minister of State for Sports and Recreation.
However, Abbey, who also doubles as Ghana Football Association (GFA ) Executive Council member, stated in an interview that Adams' portfolio and his expertise will make him excel as the sector minister.
"I firmly believe that Kofi Adams is the right person for the role," he told Original FM.
"He possesses excellent managerial skills and I have no doubt he will excel in his position," he added.
Adams will undergo parliamentary vetting and approval in the coming days, marking a critical step in the administration’s efforts to ensure effective governance and service delivery.
