Seeking to boost their chances of clinching their first-ever Premier League title, Accra Lions will travel to the Bono Region to battle it out with Nsoatreman FC in the Ghana Premier League match-week 22 fixture on Sunday.
While Nsoatreman have picked twenty-six points from 11 home matches — winning 8, drawing twice with a defeat to Hearts of Oak — in their debut top-flight league campaign, Accra Lions are also hoping to maintain their unbeaten streak to keep their title hopes alive.
Accra Lions, who are yet to taste a defeat in their last five Premier League games, will be traveling to Nsoatreman FC without their head coach Ibrahim Tanko. Tanko is currently with the Black Meteors team for the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers against Algeria later this month.
British gaffer James Nicholas Francis will lead the Lions in their search for a positive result against Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Kronmansah Park.
Accra Lions remains the only club to have registered more goals —29 goals — in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season and the club has unleashed a 16-year-old wonder-kid Dominic Amponsah, who has bagged four goals in three appearances for the club.
However, Nsoatreman FC are struggling to record a win in their last three matches in the Ghana Premier League season and they will be looking forward to end the winless run against Accra Lions this weekend.
Nsoatreman FC are four points away from the drop zone while Accra Lions occupies the second spot with just two points adrift the league leaders, Aduana Stars ahead of the match-week 22.
