Football fans will be served with a salivating weekend round of Ghana Premier League fixtures as the busy festive schedule prepares to ramp up.
Following Great Olympics' narrow defeat at Berekum Chelsea, the ‘Dade’ club returned home to host rejuvenated Asante Kotoko side in Sunday’s Ghana Premier League clash.
While the Porcupine Warriors mesmerizingly won 3-2 over sworn-rivals Hearts of Oak over the weekend at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
With a four-point gap to make up for top spot, Kotoko are laying 7th on the summit after fourteen rounds of matches.
For Oly Dade, their defense has not lived up to the task as they are gradually contributing to their rearguard shortcomings, recording two straight losses in their last two games. Great Olympics are sitting twelve with 16 points.
Kotoko’s three-game winless run away to promoted teams in the top flight also offers Great Olympics a much-desired luminous of hope, but Kum Apem have six successive Ghana Premier League wins to boast against the capital based side, whose last success in this fixture was on 27th April, 2023 which Great Olympics won 2-0 at home courtesy goals from forward Michael Osei and Emmanuel Akesseh.
