Great Olympics' winless run extended to six after once again playing out another 0-0 stalemate with regional rivals Hearts of Oak in the first 'Ga-Mantse' derby of the 2023/24 season.
It was a balance start for the two sides not until Olympics attacked from the left and Ashie Quaye's cross aimed at far post was checked by Thomas Winimi.
On the 25th minute, Hearts of Oak had a chance to break the deadlock but Asubonteng headed wide, Olympics responded quickly with a break with Michael Osei onto it but his final effort was off target.
Ibrahim Salifu on the 35th minute came close to finding the back of the net but his strong hit went off the crossbar. So unlucky.
Eight minutes later, a decent Kashala Ramos' cross spotted Enock Asubonteng at far post but failed to connect in an empty net and headed wide for a goalkick.
After a goalless half time, both teams returned explosively from the break in search for the lead and made some incursions in the early stages but all proved futile.
On the 72nd minute, Kassim Cisse after coming on for his debut nearly snatched the lead but his connection from Aziz Nurudeen's cross went wide.
The two sides subsequently attacked each other with so much intent and purpose but misfired all chances that fell on their path.
On the 90th minute, newly-signed Ivorian striker Kassim Cisse had another glorious opportunity to snatch the lead but unfortunately his dink landed at the side of the post. That should have been a goal.
After 90+5 minutes, referee Selorm Yao Bless whistled to end the game in Kumasi as it finished goalless after full time.
