Accra Lions will be bidding to bounce back from their embarrassing defeat to Great Olympics on Monday in the regional derby when they welcome Real Tamale United (RTU) to Accra Sports Stadium.
Coach James Francis and his charges will be looking forward for victory against RTU in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League match-week six fixture on Friday afternoon.
Accra Lions remains winless in their last three league games after recording a 1-0 victory over Legon Cities — courtesy Evans Botchway's header — in the match-week two game at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.
Lions suffered a back-to-back defeats after losing home to Asante Kotoko and Great Olympics, who dismantle their neighbors 3-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
With Real Tamale United, they have performed poorly in away games as all their trips have ended in a defeat — losing to Bibiani Goldstars and Bofoakwa Tano — and will be looking forward to turnaround things when they lock horns with Accra Lions.
The Tamale based outfit condemned Karela United to a five-goal thriller defeat last weekend makes them one of the free-scoring side in this season's campaign with their lethal weapon Owusu Afriyie.

Coach James Francis is expected to make changes his team that lost heavily to Great Olympics with Andrews Owusu returning to the post and leave Right to Dream Academy graduate Daniel Afful on the bench.
Youngsters Evans Botchway, Emmanuel Dzigbah, Daniel Awuni and David Amponsah, who were part of the club's U-18 side for European tour are all expected to taste minutes in the all-important game against Real Tamale United.
Real Tamale United, meanwhile, has no injury situation in their camp ahead of the game.
