Headlining this weekend’s football, Aduana Stars and Medeama will collide in a clash of former champions at Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Yellow and Mauves sit third with 14 points of the standings thanks to their 1-0 triumph over Nations FC last Sunday, while the Fire Boys were stunned 2-0 at Bibiani Goldstars.

Match Preview

While Medeama’s current form would ensure that the Yellow and Mauves would be sitting pretty at the third position of the standings for a fortnight, they could be bumped down to fourth on Sunday if Berekum Chelsea overcome Samartex, or the Timber Giants defeating the Bibires at 3pm on Sunday would demote them to the fourth or fifth position before kickoff.

Kapor and co will not be concerning themselves with such hypotheticals as Medeama chase a fifth win on the bounce in the league, though, and the 'Yellow and Mauves defensive foundations remain as solid as ever, with just three goals shipped in the current Ghana Premier League campaign.

Team News

Acheampong and his Fire Boys will be out to hunt for their second victory of the campaign as they will parade full house in making that dream a reality.

The Yellow and Mauves don’t have any serious injury concerns as travel to Dormaa to face their old foes in what has been termed as a densely contested match.

Aduana possible starting lineup:
Inusah (GK); Adams, Addo, Amoako, Amponsah, A. Boakye (C), Boateng, Duah, Marfo, Obeng, Silas

Medeama possible starting lineup:
Kubi (GK) (C); Abdulai, Babil, Braye, Cudjoe, Mantey, Nkrumah, Owusu, Sulemana, Taylor, Tetteh

We say: Aduana 1-2 Medeama

Sunday's mouthwatering match should no doubt live up to the pre-game billing, as the unstoppable attacking force of Medeama meets the movable defensive object of Aduana, who does not arguably come into the clash as marginal favourites.
