Undefeated hosts meet winless visitors in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon, as Berekum Chelsea and Legon Cities cross paths at the Golden City Park.

The Bibires return to top-flight action on the back of a 1-1 stalemate at Accra Lions, while the Royals were swept aside 3-1 by Nsoatreman in their last encounter on October 6.

Match Preview

B. Chelsea are within touching distance of a not-way-too-bad Ghana Premier League outing this season; victory on Sunday would be their 3rd in the Premier League, managing 4 draws with no defeats.

Legon Cities head to the Golden City Park having lost a staggering 4 games in the Premier League - racking one - and Paa Kwesi Fabin almost looked resigned to his fate in the Royals' latest road failure.

Cities are currently being kept on the foot of the 18-teams table - bagging just one point, although the club have supposedly not made a unanimous decision on the future of the under-pressure Fabin, who is still backed in some corners.

However, a Golden City embarrassment could put the experienced domestic tactician on the cusp of the sack, and he would do well to prioritise attacking ruthlessness before Sunday’s game.

The travelling Royals can take some solace from their team's seven-wins against Berekum Chelsea in the 28 matches they have played against each other since 2008.

Team News

The hosts will go into this game with a full house as coach Boadu hopes to keep all the three maximum points abreast against an underperforming Legon Cities side.

Cities on the other hand will also come into the game with no injury issues - aiming to rebound and clamp out of the foot of the table.

Berekum Chelsea possible starting lineup:
Sekyere (GK), Acheampong, Amankonah, Ameyaw, Badori, Dramani, Fuseini, Gyau, Mezack, Oppong, Seidu

Legon Cities possible starting lineup:
Aziz (GK); Alhassan, Alidu, I. Amoah, J. Amoah, Armegah, Fuseini, Gyesi, Ofori, Quagraine, Suraje

We say: B. Chelsea 3-0 Legon Cities

As Cities are gasping for breath the hard way, and their toothless attackers surely do not have a prayer of threatening a rigid B. Chelsea defence.

Fabin’s men may keep the hosts at bay for a short while, but Boadu’s rampant crop will no doubt break through eventually, and the goals could flow thereafter.
