Gold Stars will be looking to climb back to the top of the Premier League when they welcome Nsoatreman to Dunns Park in matchday 14 fixture on Saturday afternoon.

The Gye Nyame and the Amanaso meet for the first time since the beginning of May when Nsoatreman beat Gold Stars 4-0 on home soil.

Match Preview

Just over two weeks after suffering a 2-0 away defeat at Medeama, Gold Stars salvaged a point in a 1-1 draw with Karela United in Tamale last weekend that ended in eventful fashion for the Pride and Passion’s Nasiru Abdul Karim.

The goalkeeper cancelled out Faisal Garba’s own goal opener when he lashed home a brilliant leveller with his spot kick. However, Gold Stars had no answer to the Passioners' rearguard resolve and were forced to share the spoils at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Frimpong Manso was left frustrated after the match as he insisted that his Gold Stars side "deserved to win" against Karela. However, a draw means they have slipped to 2nd in the Premier League table, behind Heart of Lions in first and eleven points above Saturday’s opponents Karela in thirteenth.

Gold Stars have never enjoyed facing Nsoatreman in the Premier League, as they have won one and lost three of the four meetings they’ve faced each other in the top flight.

Bibiani Gold Stars possible starting lineup:
Kobi (GK), Adje, Amankwah, Atungah (C), Kumi, Kyereh, BosomtwI, Danky, Gyamfi, Nkoah, Oppong.

Nsoatreman possible starting lineup:
Afadzwu (G) (C); Amoo, Anokye, Bashiru, Bonnah, Fuseini, Issaka, Kudjoe, O. Bonsu, Sekyere, Tsivanyo

We say: Gold Stars 3-0 Nsoatreman

Both teams have scored in all five of Gold Stars home matches so far this season, while Nsoatreman have found the next ones in all five of their away games and have kept no clean sheets, so goals at both ends could be on the cards at Dunns Park.

Although Nsoatreman have a strong record against Gold Stars, we are backing the Gye Nyame lads to claim the three maximum points at stake from a fixture that football fanatics will be monitoring Keenly.
