Abdul Bashiru’s Young Apostles prepare to face fellow struggler's Vision FC at Wenchi Stadium in a match that could have huge implications come the end of the season.

Both the Agya Na ƆwƆ Tumi Boys and Nana Agyemang’s Vision FC are going through tortuous times in the league, and both sides will be desperate to add to their tally on Saturday afternoon.

Match Preview

Young Apostles will be looking to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat against Basake Holy Stars. Nana Agyemang’s side have earned a victory at Wenchi Stadium this season, having met during the Dvson One Super Cup - where they thumped their hosts through penalties, but can move up on the Premier League table if they can defeat Young Apostles.

Should Saturday’s hosts fail to shut up shop in the weekend affair, it will also represent their 10th straight Ghana Premier League game with just two clean sheets, having kept two opponents at bay since their goalless stalemate against Accra Lions and Gold Stars in October and early November.

Four of Vision’s last six games has ended in defeat as Nana Agyemang’s men seek to kickstart a Yuletide revival, and the Ewoo haven’t discovered a knack for netting on the road, falling to score in their last three away matches in the league.

A second clean sheet of the season on away turf is still eluding the visitors, but Vision FC did come out on top in their most recent showdown with Young Apostles, a Division One Super Cup semifinal contest in which Vision FC won 1-0 after penalties.

Young Apostles possible starting lineup:
Ofosu (GK), Aboubakar, Afram, Amegbe, Huseine, Kontor, Lomotey, Muftaw, Bortey, Rahman, Suleiman Abu (C).

Vision FC possible starting lineup:
Lotsa (GK); Addai, Asante K, Asante P, Asiedu, Offei (C), Boakye, Frimpong, Muntala, Sanja, Teyechou

We say: Young Apostles 1-2 Vision FC

Vision have taken on the role of stalemate and defeat specialists simultaneously at the same time in this Ghana Premier League campaign - especially at their Nii Adjei Kraku headquarters - and neither goalkeeper should add to their clean sheet totals given both defences' respective frailties.

However, as the Ewoo have started to find a clinical edge on the road and firing again, we have faith in Nana Agyemang’s side to edge an incredibly tight battle, boosting their survival prospects at the expense of their hosts.
