Ghana international Antoine Semenyo says he has developed a strong appetite for success after winning the first major trophy of his career, admitting he is now “hooked” on the feeling of lifting silverware.

The 26-year-old, who joined City in January, has made an immediate impact with eight goals in 20 appearances, playing a key role in the club’s strong run of form during the second half of the season.

His standout moment so far came at Wembley Stadium, where City defeated Arsenal to win their ninth League Cup title, securing the Carabao Cup and marking a milestone achievement in Semenyo’s career.

Reflecting on the experience, Semenyo described the emotional high of lifting his first trophy and walking up the Wembley steps as unforgettable.

“I couldn’t believe what was happening after winning the cup final to be honest, walking up the steps at Wembley,” he said.

Since arriving, Semenyo has credited the club environment, coaching staff, and teammates for helping him settle quickly into the squad.

“The manager has helped me a lot, the assistants and the players have made it easy for me,” he explained. “I’m playing with world class players and they’ve made it easy to sink into the team.”

With attention now shifting to the Premier League and FA Cup, Semenyo believes City are well-positioned to challenge for more honours as the season progresses.

He also admitted that competing at a club with high expectations has pushed him to adapt quickly and deliver consistent performances since his arrival.

“I’ve never been in a team that’s competed like this,” he said. “I want to win trophies on a consistent basis.”
