The two-time African champions have learned their group phase fixtures for the upcoming continental juvenile football event which is set to commence next month
Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released Black Starlets AFCON U-17 Fixtures for their group stage encounters after being pitted against Senegal, South Africa and Algeria in Group D ahead of the start of the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament slated for May 13 to June 2, 2026 in Morocco.
The Starlets will open their campaign against Algeria on May 14 at 19:00 GMT before slugging it out against Senegal on May 17 at 16:00 GMT for their second group phase encounters. They will then wrap-up their group fixtures against South Africa on May 20 at 19:00 GMT.

Following the release of the group stage fixtures by CAF, the Ghana FA has said in an excerpt of a statement: ''In a significant boost to participating teams, the eight quarter-finalists will automatically secure qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, while the two best third-placed teams will also advance, ensuring Africa is represented by ten nations at the global tournament.
''With qualification to the World Cup firmly in sight, the Black Starlets will be aiming to navigate the group stage successfully and reaffirm Ghana’s rich pedigree in youth football on the continental stage.''
