Young Apostles failed to secure a second consecutive win in the Ghana Premier League after sharing spoils with Bechem United on Sunday afternoon.
The Blue and Yellow lads were looking forward to snatching a win over Bechem United to keep their top-flight league survival hopes alive, but they were held to a 0-0 draw at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.
Bechem United has to play over fifty minutes of the game with ten men after Charles Owusu was shown a straight red card by the referee for unsportsmanlike behavior in the 38th minute of the game.
Young Apostles FC came close to opening the scoring in the 67th minute through Samuel Prempeh, but his effort was brilliantly saved by Aziz Dari.
Bechem United delivered a masterclass performance in the last ten minutes of the game, leaving the Wenchi Sports Stadium with a point.
Following the draw, Bechem United has ended the first round of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season sitting in fifth position with 30 points, whilst Young Apostles FC lies in 14th position with 18 points after seventeen matches.
