Newbies Young Apostles have held Accra Lions to a 0-0 draw at the University of Ghana Stadium in match-week 7 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League

The Lions made an explosive start to the game and exhibited efficiency in everything they did in the opening minutes playing like the typical home side.

Despite loving to keep the ball to the pitch, the homesters did most of their attacks from the flanks with Baba Apiiga sending in lots of crosses but resulted into no goal.

Ali Mohammed in the twenty minutes, nearly found the back of the net from close range but his effort was stopped brilliantly by goalkeeper Zulka Masawudu.

Fast-forward, Young Apostles skipper Daniel Lomotey with a big chance to score but Daniel Afful reacted very well to prevail in that deadly one on one situation.

In the second half, the homesters came close to finding the back of the net in just seven minutes but Ezekiel Alladoh unfortunately had his shot went off the post.

Young Apostles even though also made some goal incursions but also looked very solid at the back having stopped most of threats posed at them.

Despite the number of attacks made, there was no goal produced as it finished goalless after full time.

Accra Lions FC are currently sitting on the 14th spot with six points and will face Legon Cities in the next round.

Doesn't look any better for Young Apostles who equally have six points and will host Dreams FC next.
