Holy Stars will be looking to capitalise on Nsoatreman’s misfortunes when they travel to the Nana Konamansah Park for a Ghana Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.

This contest will be the two teams first official meeting in the Ghanaian top flight league.

Match Preview

The pressure is beginning to mount on Nsoatreman’s new head coach Yaw Preko who has won just two of his opening six games in charge into the season.

In a period of shellacking in the CAF Confederation Cup, Nsoatreman suffered back-to-back defeats against Constantine (2-0) and 1-0, going ahead to lose three matches, drawing ones and annexing two wins so far.

Preko was not pleased with the output of his players after conceding so early (2’ and 11th minutes) in the game against Samartex last Monday, having went ahead to lose 2-0, but Efiri Tete Amanaso supporters are demanding more from their club, considering the money they spent on new signings in the summer.

Holy Stars have accumulated just seven points from their opening six Premier League matches, and they find themselves languishing in 12th place in the table, just hooked on the same points (7) with 11th-placed Nsoatreman.

The Amanaso, who are seeking to avoid losing at home in the opening two top-flight home matches they have played so far don’t have any record against Sunday’s opponents Holy Stars, as this will be their first Premier League meeting.

Team News

In the fold of the visitors, there are no injury concerns as coach Abdulai Gazale goes on fierce hunting at Nsoatre.

On the part of the hosts, a little shakeup is expected in coach Preko’s first XI as he will field players who are ready to go for the kill and make sure the three points does not cross carpet to leave the gates of Nana Koronmansah Park.

Nsoatreman possible starting lineup:
Afadzwu (G) (C); Amoo, Anokye, Bashiru, Bonnah, Fuseini, Issaka, Kudjoe, O. Bonsu, Sekyere, Tsivanyo

Holy Stars possible starting lineup:
Aboubakar (GK); Kwame, Asante, Author, Baffour, Boadi (C), Opoku, Oteng, Simba, Tweneboah, Yakubu

We say: Nsoatreman 2-1 Holy Stars

The pieces are not falling into place for Gazale at Holy Stars, while in contrast, Nsoatreman have made themselves difficult to beat at home and aim to find their feet under Preko this season.

A closely-fought contest could be in store at the Nana Koronmansah Park, but we are predicting a home win on the cards in this one and for Amanaso to win their third  Premier League game of the season.
