Hearts of Oak have finally won for the first time this season after inflicting a 2-0 victory over Bechem United last Sunday night at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Two second half goals from Ransford Mensah and Hamza Issah were enough to hand the 'Phobians' a precious win to mark their first of the new campaign
The home team had a very good start to the game and even though they were the dominant side but with less chances created in the opening minutes.
The Hunters astonishingly looked completely off in attack but were very well organized and resolute in defense.
Despite the end to end stuff the game produced no goal as it ended goalless at half time.
Back from recess, Hearts of Oak found the back in just seven minutes through youngster Ransford Mensah who scored with a spectacular free kick.
It later resulted into even exchanges with the two sides brawling against each other with the homesters slightly ahead
With fifteen minutes to full time, Hamza Issah doubled the lead for Hearts after connecting with an intelligent header from a teasing Stephen Appiah's cross from the left.
It ended 2-0 for Hearts of Oak after full time to grind their first win of the campaign.
