Bechem United and Karela United played out a goalless draw on Sunday at the Nana Gyeabour Park.
The contest may have started with plenty of vigour and excitement, but the chances ultimately dried up.
With the score still goalless at the break, the Hunters substitute’ Abdul Rawuf Abubakar missed from a close range which should have landed into the net of Karela.
Bechem kept pushing - forcing goalkeeper Abdul Ganiu into action on a couple of occasions, including one fierce effort which needed to be pushed onto the bar.
While both shot-stoppers failed to cover themselves in glory, as they would have been disappointed with their attackers unable to score drilled strikes from finding the net.
The hosts stood firm at the opposite end of the pitch to clinch their third clean sheet of the season and their second Premier League home goalless draw of the campaign.
The stalemate moves Bechem to the 9th place in the Premier League table with 10 points, while the visitors are left languishing in 11th with 9 points after eight rounds of matches.
