Dreams FC left it late but secured all three points with a dramatic stoppage-time winner to edge Berekum Chelsea 1-0 at the Tuba Astro Turf on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

In a closely contested affair that saw both sides struggle to break the deadlock, the first half ended goalless with limited chances. The second half followed a similar pattern, as both teams looked set to share the spoils.

However, in the dying moments of stoppage time, Dreams FC were awarded a penalty after sustained pressure. Forward Joseph Esso stepped up and calmly converted from the spot to snatch a valuable victory for the home side.

The win lifts Dreams FC to 8th place on the Ghana Premier League table with 46 points, maintaining their push for a strong top-half finish. It was also a crucial response following their heavy defeat to Asante Kotoko the previous weekend.

For Berekum Chelsea, the result marks a third straight defeat and leaves them 11th with 41 points, still within striking distance of the top half but under pressure to halt their slide.

Dreams FC will now prepare for a midweek clash away to Accra Lions, while Chelsea face a stern test at home against title contenders Bibiani Gold Stars in their next fixture.
