Vision FC took a significant step toward Ghana Premier League survival with a narrow 1-0 victory over fellow relegation battlers Karela United at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
Edward Agyemang’s early strike in the 7th minute proved decisive, as the debutants secured their third consecutive home win in front of a spirited home crowd. The result lifts Vision FC to 13th on the league table with 39 points, opening up a crucial five-point cushion above the relegation zone.
Agyemang’s goal came after a bright start from the hosts, who pressed with intensity and took full advantage of their early momentum. The forward latched onto a low cross in the box and calmly slotted past the Karela goalkeeper to give his side a deserved lead.
Despite Karela United’s efforts to respond, Vision FC defended resolutely and limited the visitors’ attacking threats. The Pride and Passion now find themselves in 15th place with 34 points and face a must-win situation in their final two matches to stand any chance of avoiding the drop.
Karela will return home to face Young Apostles in their penultimate fixture, while Vision FC prepare for a tough final-day test against giants Asante Kotoko, who are still in the race for the league title.
With the relegation battle tightening, both clubs know the margin for error is now razor-thin heading into the season’s dramatic conclusion.
