Kwesi Pong's goal at the death handed Heart of Lions an important 1-0 win over Young Apostles at the Kpando Stadium in match-week 15 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Lions made a very good start as usual, having dominated every aspect of the game especially in terms of possession but with no chances to show.

The homesters first attempt on goal came through Christian Agyenim Boateng who sent a strong hit towards goal but came off an opposing player to a wasted corner kick.

In the second half, Young Apostles who had been solid especially in defense maintained same shape and were still resolute and compact but made few goal incursions.

The Giant Killers subsequently found their rhythm in the second phase and fired from series of angles in search of the precious opener.

Eventually, the homesters scored in the closing moment of the game through Kwesi Pong to set up their fans in ablaze and left them in complete raptures as it finished 1-0 after full time.

Heart of Lions remain at the summit of the table with 30 points while Young Apostles with 14 points, are most likely to drop into the relegation zone after this round of matches.
