Joseph Quansah and Emmanuel Kyei's lightning-quick second half goals proved the difference at the Wenchi Stadium as Young Apostle continued their march towards escaping relegation by beating Basake Holy Stars 2-0.
Quansah's 56th minute goal, and Kyei's 60th thrust Apostles into a position of little-bit of comfort - having suffered a 3-0 loss at Medeama last Saturday, but they required some heroic defending at the last to walk away with all three points.
Holy Stars huffed and puffed for the duration without much reward, with their defeat leaving them 13th in the Premier League table. Twelve-place Apostle, meanwhile, are now fourteen points beneath Asante Kotoko - who are occupying the fourth position.
The visitors were asked to dig deep, but the hosts held firm to secure a big three points in their quest to keep their Premier League status for next season.
