Heart of Lions made light work of Samartex on Sunday en route to a comfortable 2-1 victory.
Yaw Danso, and Nana Kwame Oppong were all on target for the dominant Dzie Woa Nu, who continue to keep up the pace in climbing top of the Premier League table, while Samartex slump down into seventh of the standings on 45 points after going five games without a defeat in their last five matches.
Heart of Lions got off to the perfect start with a goal after eighteen minutes. Yaw Danso expertly fired a delightful well-taken free kick into the back of the net.
The Lions pressure kept on coming and Nana Kwame Oppong added a second 20 minutes in, which later turned out in killing the game off.
23-year-old Samartex forward Baba Musa bomb crashed to reduce the deficit in the 60th minute of the second half as Samartex were on a manhunt to force the game to end 2-2 which never happened.
Lions recorded their fifteenth consecutive league win to lift them into third and three points behind first-placed Bibiani Gold Stars.
