Michael Nkoah and Foster Adjei scored as Gold Stars recorded a 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday afternoon to remain in second position in the table.

The victory is Gold Stars sixth in Ghana’s top flight this term, and it has moved them onto 27 points from 14 matches, enough for second, while Nsoatreman have slipped downhill to 12, now boasting 14 points from their first 14 games of the campaign.

Gold Stars were gifted the opening goal at Dunns Park, with Nkoah notching the ball home in the 45 minutes.

Gold Stars, as expected, dominated the possession in the first period, boasting 61% of the ball, while the Amanaso had five attempts, but Gold Stars were ahead at the break courtesy of their dazzling attempt on target in the opening 45 minutes.

Nsoatreman were level in the 90+5’ minute of the contest, though, with Abdul Hussein Bashiru expertly finding the back of the net with a clean strike.
